Chandra’s Breast Cancer Models, Inc.

CBCM a Non-Profit organization designed to assist breast cancer survivors by allowing them an opportunity to participate in the modeling industry. The name of our organization is a reflection of our goals. We are in the modeling business. At Chandra’s Breast Cancer Models Inc. (CBCM), our mission is to empower breast cancer survivors to become Fashion Models, Role Models, Educators, Advocates, and Public Speakers who use their voices, stories, and experiences to educate, inspire, and bring hope to communities everywhere. Despite all the obstacles faced by those experiencing the transition of breast cancer, we will rebuild self-esteem through beauty and fashion modeling, and help build role -models in the community through our stories.

CBCM first passion is to create an environment for breast cancer survivors to participate in the fashion modeling industry. Each qualified survivor will have opportunity to participate in the following areas of modeling through our organization. Most of these women have lost their careers or jobs after they have gone through so much. 

CBCM Runway Modeling will showcase clothes from fashion designers, fashion media, and consumers. These live models will work in different locations, travelling between cities where fashion is well known. 

We will also work in other areas, such as department store fashion shows. 

CBCM Plus-Size Modeling to enhance the number of survivors we can serve this will include plus-size models. Plus-size models are models who generally have larger measurements than editorial fashion models. The primary use of plus-size models is to appear in advertising and runway shows for plus-size labels. Plus-size models are also engaged in work that is not strictly related to selling large-sized clothing. It also includes stock photography and advertising photography for cosmetics, household and pharmaceutical products and sunglasses, footwear and watches. Therefore, plus-size models do not exclusively wear garments marketed as plus-size clothing. This is especially true when participating in fashion editorials for mainstream fashion magazines.

CBCM Glamour Models - In the industry glamour modeling focuses solely on sexuality. Therefore, there are no requirements to be a glamour model other than the ability to pose seductively. Glamour models can be any size or shape. There is no industry standard for glamour modeling. For the most part, glamour models are welcome to modeling in calendars, bikini modeling, lingerie modeling, fetish modeling, music videos, and extra work in films.
